Pasta Chefs travelled from across the UK to battle in this year's Pasta Chef of the Year Competition which was held at the European Pizza and Pasta Show at London's Olympia in front of a live audience.

 

We are delighted to announce the overall Ebrofrost Pasta Chef of the Year winner 2019:

  • Uberto Scaparti, Mamma Mia Jericho - Autumn in Ischia

Using Ebrofrost's shock frosted pasta, the chefs were tasked with creating a pasta dish using the Ebrofrost Pappardelle pasta and the Ebrofrost Rigatoni pasta. In the pappardelle category seasonal dishes like Christopher Beavis' Pappardelle of Celeriac, Fennel and Garlic went against the more traditional like Mary Lloyd's Pappardelle alla Bolognese, whilst in the rigatoni 'free from category our chefs were tasked with creating a gluten and dairy free creation. The standards were high, the tastes exceptionnel and our judges were hard pressed to choose a winner. However with full bellies our judges were delighted to choose our two category Pasta Chef of the Year winners 2019:
